Job summary

BART seeks an experienced leader to serve as Assistant General Manager, Infrastructure Delivery. This role provides executive leadership and oversight of major construction, engineering, and infrastructure improvement projects that support operations, reliability, and long‑term goals.

The AGMD leads teams, manages budgets and resources, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and in line with District priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Nine (9) years of full-time professional experience in construction, engineering, or project management, including at least four years in management.
• Transit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee capital and operating construction projects and budgeting.
• Direct management teams; oversee training and performance management.
• Develop and implement department goals, policies, and priorities.
• Monitor workload and resources; drive process improvements.
• Coordinate contract administration and prepare requests for proposals.
• Represent the department to executive staff and external agencies.
