Job summary

Capax RM in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an IT Director to own the technology function and lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central strategy across the organisation. Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Industry experience in food & beverage, manufacturing, distribution.
• Understanding of ERP processes: Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing, Supply Chain.
• Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimisation.

IT Director – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Location: Philadelphia, PA or San Francisco Bay Area

Employment Type: Full-Time - on-site/hybrid

The Opportunity

A growing food and beverage manufacturer is looking for an experienced IT Director to take ownership of its technology function and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment.

The business has continued to grow across multiple locations and is looking for someone who can take a strategic view of IT while remaining close enough to the systems and operations to drive meaningful improvements.

This is a broad leadership role covering Business Central, infrastructure, cybersecurity, integrations, reporting and overall IT strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the company's overall IT strategy and technology roadmap
• Take senior ownership of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment
• Lead BC upgrades, enhancements, integrations and optimisation projects
• Work closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations to improve systems and processes
• Manage internal IT resources and relationships with Microsoft partners and third-party vendors
• Oversee infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, Azure and cloud technologies
• Lead cybersecurity, disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
• Manage integrations across EDI, manufacturing, warehouse and other third-party systems
• Improve reporting and analytics capabilities using Business Central and Power BI
• Oversee IT budgets, licensing, vendor contracts and technology investments
• Lead technology projects across multiple manufacturing and distribution locations
• Ensure the IT environment can scale effectively as the company continues to grow

Experience Required

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience with previous leadership or management responsibility
• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience within food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution or a similar environment
• Strong understanding of ERP processes across Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing and Supply Chain
• Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and wider Microsoft technologies
• Experience overseeing infrastructure, cybersecurity and business continuity
• Strong vendor, project and stakeholder management experience

Nice to Have

• Business Central SaaS migration or upgrade experience
• Power BI and Power Platform experience
• Knowledge of SQL, APIs and system integrations
• EDI experience
• WMS, MES or shop floor systems experience
• Food and beverage manufacturing experience including lot tracking and traceability
