Job summary

CentraCare Health seeks a Director of Infection Prevention and Control to lead the infection prevention program, oversee surveillance, reporting and compliance, and coordinate quality improvement efforts. The role includes acting as Infection Control Officer and supporting the Infection Prevention Committee.

• Bachelors degree in nursing required; related degrees preferred.
• Minimum 6 years clinical experience; minimum 3 years in infection prevention and control.
• At least 2 years leadership/management experience.
• CIC certification required; APIC membership within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the infection prevention and control program.
• Lead planning, direction, and process improvement for surveillance, reporting, prevention and control of infections.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance; support quality/performance improvement.
• Serve as Infection Control Officer and support Infection Prevention Committee.
