Job summary

Marian University is seeking a Director of the Personalized Learning Center to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission by providing an innovative educational experience for students with disabilities. The director will lead a team of professionals, set strategic priorities, and ensure compliance with applicable laws while coordinating services and accommodations across campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, disability studies, counseling or an equivalent field of study.
• Experience leading a team of professional staff and serving students with disabilities.
• Working knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), FERPA, and related laws.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision in administration, organization and development of academic support services for students with disabilities.
• Set strategic priorities and direction while managing the daily operations of the Personalized Learning Center.
• Oversee assessment and effectiveness of programs and services offered through the Personalized Learning Center.
• Maintain timely records by documenting communication with and regarding students/faculty interactions and rationale for accommodation decisions.
• Coordinate professional development for faculty, staff, students, and campus partners.
• Develop policies and procedures for students seeking disability services.
