Job summary

Purdue University is seeking a Deputy Director to provide operational leadership for the Disability Resource Center, translating strategic vision into daily practice. The role oversees West Lafayette operations, directs an experienced team of Access Consultants, and ensures consistent accommodation decision making while coaching staff and driving performance management.

You will partner with the Senior Director and serve as the primary operational resource for faculty, staff, and campus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• At least four years of progressively responsible disability-related professional experience, including at least three years in higher education disability services and three years supervising staff.
• Expertise in making complex accommodation determinations.
• Strong working knowledge of the ADA, the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
• In lieu of a degree, consideration with related education/work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for the Disability Resource Center.
• Direct and manage a team of Access Consultants.
• Ensure consistency and alignment in accommodation decision making.
• Develop staff through coaching, accountability, and performance management.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director and campus partners on operational standards.
• Evaluate complex accommodation decisions and provide guidance.
