Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Imaging Services Director to lead the imaging department and ensure high-quality patient care in a regional hospital setting in Galax, VA. The role oversees staffing, budgets, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations to support excellent diagnostic services.

Candidate will ensure evidence-based practices, regulatory adherence, and ongoing professional development within a supportive healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety guidelines.

How you'll contribute

• Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives
• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety guidelines.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education

Additional requirements include

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS required by completion of hospital orientation.

Salary range: $86,132-$110,458
