Job summary

AbbVie invites a Director HVAC Mechanical to lead strategic discipline and governance for HVAC and Building Management Systems across the Strategic Investments Engineering portfolio. You will set technical standards, drive risk-based decision making and ensure reliable, compliant capital delivery.

The role partners with operations, quality, validation, digital/automation and external partners to enable scalable solutions, maintain asset performance and enterprise growth while advancing safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related technical discipline required.
• 12+ to 15+ years of engineering, manufacturing, capital project or regulated manufacturing experience.
• Experience with HVAC, mechanical systems and GMP/regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and deploy engineering standards and governance for HVAC and building systems.
• Drive consistent application of technical standards across regions and projects.
• Provide governance for technical decisions affecting safety, quality and lifecycle.
• Lead technical input coordination from project teams and external partners.
• Promote capability building, mentoring and knowledge sharing across sites.
• Set global vision and multi-year roadmap for HVAC and Building Management Systems.
