Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Director, Utilities & Electrical to lead global electrical power systems across manufacturing sites. You will direct strategy, standards, risk management and capital investments, overseeing a worldwide team of technical experts.

This role partners with operations, quality, EHS and strategic investments to ensure safe, compliant, reliable and energy-efficient facilities, with accountability for brownfield and greenfield programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in electrical/ utilities leadership roles.
• Experience with GMP, validation/CQV, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong risk management and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to lead global teams across sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of electrical, clean-utilities and black-utilities experts.
• Set priorities and performance expectations aligned with Global Engineering and Strategic Investments.
• Ensure GMP compliance, validation/CQV, safety, reliability and operational readiness.
• Lead and develop a global team of electrical and utilities experts.
• Partner with investors, operations, quality, EHS and validation to deliver robust engineering solutions.
• Establish disciplined change control and project risk management across programs.
