Description du poste

More Than an HR Role

Working at a Chick-fil-A® restaurant is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to grow as a leader, make a meaningful impact on others, and be part of a positive, people-focused organization.

Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent, franchised Operators who invest personally in their Team Members, their businesses, and the communities they serve.

Our vision is to shine brightly in our community by serving with Unmatched Excellence and Intentional Care.

We believe accomplishing that vision begins with our people.

We are looking for a Director of Human Resources & Administration who loves serving others, thrives on organization, and gets satisfaction from seeing people, systems, and projects succeed.

This person will serve as a key member of our leadership team and a trusted partner to the Owner/Operator. You will help steward the culture of our organization by caring for our Team Members, attracting great people, building strong people systems, and ensuring important administrative details are handled with excellence.

The right person for this role is equal parts people leader and administrative finisher. You enjoy building relationships, but you also love a completed checklist, an organized system, a well-executed project, and following through on the details others might miss.

What You'll Do
Human Resources & Team Member Experience

You will help create an employment experience where Team Members feel known, cared for, equipped, and challenged to grow.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a Team Member engagement strategy focused on engagement, connection, and retention.
  • Conduct intentional Team Member touchpoints with all Team Members on eight-week cycles.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for Team Members and leaders regarding workplace questions and concerns.
  • Promote Chick-fil-A scholarship opportunities and our tuition-free college partnership with the University of the Cumberlands.
  • Plan and execute Team Member appreciation activities and events.
  • Help protect and strengthen the culture of the organization through consistent communication, follow-through, and care.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive Team Member matters.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Great organizations start with great people. You will own much of the process of finding and welcoming those people to our team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop creative recruiting and sourcing strategies to maintain a strong pipeline of qualified applicants.
  • Build talent networks through schools, community organizations, online channels, and other recruiting partnerships.
  • Create and manage online job postings.
  • Screen applicants and identify high-potential candidates.
  • Conduct first-round interviews.
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to understand current and future staffing needs.
  • Help ensure candidates experience hospitality and professionalism throughout the hiring process.
Onboarding

The Team Member experience begins long before someone's first shift.

You will:

  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires from acceptance through their first days on the team.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
  • Ensure required onboarding documentation and systems are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate new-hire uniforms and other onboarding needs.
  • Help new Team Members understand our culture, expectations, vision, and opportunities for growth.
Human Resources Administration

You will provide structure and consistency to the people systems that support our organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage payroll administration and ensure accurate, timely processing.
  • Manage benefit administration and enrollment.
  • Manage Team Member uniform ordering.
  • Maintain accurate Team Member information and HR documentation.
  • Oversee the consistent execution of our progressive disciplinary process.
  • Coordinate and lead Team Member separations and offboarding.
  • Lead or coordinate workplace investigations as appropriate.
  • Track and manage Texas Food Handler Certificates and ServSafe Manager certifications.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment requirements.
Leadership

This is a Director-level position, not simply an administrative support role.

As a member of our leadership team, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the Owner/Operator and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Model professionalism, integrity, discretion, ownership, and servant leadership.
  • Facilitate leadership training and development as assigned.
  • Lead projects and organizational initiatives from idea through completion.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, communication, Team Member experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate across departments rather than operating HR as a stand-alone function.
  • Follow through on commitments and help create accountability around key organizational priorities.
Administration & Executive Support

Strong administration creates space for the rest of the organization to perform at its best.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Accounts Payable processes.
  • Manage the restaurant's primary email account and ensure appropriate communication and follow-up.
  • Take notes during Executive Team meetings and manage action-item tracking and follow-up.
  • Maintain organized office and meeting spaces.
  • Manage tax-exempt vendor accounts.
  • Complete administrative projects and special assignments from the Owner/Operator.
  • Develop and improve administrative systems as opportunities are identified.
Hospitality & Restaurant Operations

We believe leaders should stay connected to the Team Members and Guests they serve.

This is not a desk-only HR position.

Approximately 8–12 hours per week will be spent working alongside the restaurant team in a guest-facing hospitality role. This allows you to build relationships with Team Members, understand the realities of restaurant operations, and stay connected to the Guest experience.

You will also:

  • Manage digital Guest complaints and service recovery.
  • Help turn difficult Guest experiences into opportunities to demonstrate Intentional Care.
  • Model Chick-fil-A hospitality and service standards for the team.
  • Work indoors and outdoors as restaurant operations require.
What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means:

  • Our restaurant has a healthy and consistent pipeline of high-quality applicants.
  • New Team Members experience an organized, welcoming, and professional onboarding process.
  • Team Members feel known, cared for, and connected to the organization.
  • Our leadership team has meaningful insight into Team Member engagement and retention.
  • Payroll, benefits, documentation, certifications, and administrative responsibilities are accurate and completed on time.
  • Difficult Team Member situations are handled with professionalism, consistency, care, and discretion.
  • Executive Team commitments and action items don't fall through the cracks.
  • Administrative systems become simpler, stronger, and more effective over time.
  • You are seen as someone who can be trusted both with people and with details.
Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit for this role if you:

  • Have a genuine love for serving and caring for people.
  • Possess a high degree of professionalism, integrity, maturity, and discretion.
  • Are highly organized and administratively talented.
  • Love finishing tasks and projects—not just starting them.
  • Have strong attention to detail while still seeing the bigger picture.
  • Take ownership without needing constant direction.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Are comfortable navigating challenging conversations and sensitive situations.
  • Can build trust with Team Members at every level of an organization.
  • Enjoy improving systems and finding better ways to accomplish recurring work.
  • Are comfortable balancing relational work, detailed administrative work, and restaurant operations.
  • Have a high level of computer proficiency and are comfortable learning new software and systems.
  • Can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, executive administration, office management, or a similar role.
  • Previous experience with recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, or project management.
  • Leadership experience in a people-focused organization.

Relevant experience, demonstrated ability, character, and alignment with the needs of the role will all be considered.

Schedule & Work Requirements
  • Full-time position averaging approximately 40-45 hours per week.
  • Must have flexible availability based on business needs.
  • Position is primarily on-site; this is not a remote position.
  • Approximately 6–10 hours per week will be spent in restaurant operations and Guest-facing hospitality.
  • Must be able and willing to work outdoors as needed.
  • Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.
Compensation

$62,000-$68,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits & Perks

We want this to be a place where great people can build a meaningful career. Benefits include:

  • Health Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • 401(k) Matching
  • Annual Clothing Allowance
  • Tuition-Free College Program through the University of the Cumberlands
  • Chick-fil-A Scholarship Opportunities
  • Employee Meal Discount
  • Sundays Off
  • Leadership and Professional Development Opportunities
  • The opportunity to work directly with a local Owner/Operator and play a meaningful role in shaping the culture and future of the business
Why Chick-fil-A?

This is an opportunity to do more than administer HR processes.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the experience of the people who make our restaurant possible—from someone's first interaction with us as an applicant to their development as a Team Member or leader.

You'll work in an organization that takes both people and performance seriously, where excellence and care are not competing priorities.

If you are a relational leader who loves people, thrives on organization, takes ownership, and finds satisfaction in making an organization run better, we'd love to meet you.

Working at a Chick-fil-A® restaurant is more than a job – it’s an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people-focused environment.
