Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations. You will drive staffing, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership to foster a positive work culture across the center.

The ideal candidate will have HR experience, labor-law knowledge, and strong organizational skills to manage benefits, policies, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience in Human Resources or related field.
• Understanding of labor laws and best practices.
• Ability to coordinate people and resources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead recruitment efforts to hire the best candidates for each role.
• Manage employee onboarding and new hire orientation; ensure employees are set up for success and that all employment records are maintained in compliance.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll process and ensure all timecards submitted are complete and accurate.
• Support staff and serve as an employee resource on benefits, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and update schedules and daily staffing and ensure adequate staffing ratios.
• Ensure the scheduling system stays up to date to reflect staffing needs.
• Coordinate employee requests for time off to ensure proper coverage of units.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with other departments.

What You'll Do
