Job summary

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan seeks a Director of Human Resources Operations to lead benefits administration, HR compliance, HRIS, and core HR operations for a diverse workforce. This role partners across programs to design, implement, and optimize workforce processes and services that enhance operational effectiveness and employee experience.

Reporting to the CHRO, you will drive HR data governance, regulatory compliance, and scalable programs while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including benefits and HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, New York State, and New York City employment laws including HIPAA compliance.
• Experience in nonprofit, mission-driven or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead benefits portfolio design, administration, compliance, and improvements.
• Oversee HR data governance and HRIS integration with vendors.
• Manage annual open enrollment, plan design, renewals, and employee communications.
• Ensure compliance with FLSA, wage and hour laws, leave programs, and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate across functions to translate organizational needs into HR processes and systems.
