Behavioral-Health-Response is seeking a Director of HR to lead the HR department and partner with management to recruit, develop, and train a diverse, high-performing workforce. You will guide staffing, talent strategy, internal communications, and leadership development while ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Ideal candidates will have Juris Master or related master’s in HR, 7+ years of progressive HR experience, and strong expertise in employee relations, policy development, and payroll

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Juris Master or Master of Legal Studies in HR or related field required.
  • PHR certification desired.
  • Deep knowledge of Federal and State Labor Laws.
  • Broad knowledge of HR functional areas with depth in employee relations.
  • Ability to drive change and promote organizational culture.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Self-starter with urgency in deadline-driven environment.
  • HRIS and payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develops organization strategies by researching HR issues and aligning objectives with overall strategy.
  • Implements HR strategies across talent acquisition, staffing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training, records management, safety, and labor relations.
  • Manages HR operations including recruitment, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews; maintains compensation and productivity strategies.
  • Develops HR operations financial strategies by forecasting requirements and measuring results; plans and budgets accordingly.
  • Delivers special projects by prioritizing requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and evaluating milestones.
  • Provides HR advice, counsel, and decisions to management based on analysis of information.
  • Drafts and updates policies, communicates values, and enforces guidelines across the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $115,000.00 To $130,000.00 Annually

Position Summary

The Director of HR will serve as the head of the human resources department and as a key business partner and peer to the management team in leading and creating initiatives, systems, and best practices to recruit, develop, and train a diverse and high-performing workforce. In addition to directing staff of the HR department, the HR Director will help lead and develop a plan for staffing and talent strategy, internal communication processes, performance management, and leadership and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
  • Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.
  • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions by analyzing information and applications.
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skill Required
  • Juris Master or Master of Legal Studies degree in Human Resources or in a related field required, with a minimum of 7 years progressive HR experience. PHR certification desired.
  • Deep knowledge of Federal and State Labor Laws.
  • Possesses broad knowledge of HR functional areas and has depth of knowledge in employee relations subject matter.
  • An understanding of corporate culture and how to drive initiatives and promote change within the business.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate effectively in an independent manner with good judgment and a solid understanding of both strategic and tactical business needs.
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to shepherd diverse stakeholders to achieve complex business objectives.
  • Self-Starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency. Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to analyze problems and effectively provide solutions.
  • Skilled at utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HRIS and payroll experience.
  • Must be trustworthy, dependable and able to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
