Job Title: Director of Housekeeping at The Bristal Assisted Living

Responsibilities:
- Establish standards and procedures for staff, plan work schedules to ensure adequate service and coverage.
- Review staffing to ensure proper coverage while maintaining budget constraints.
- Manage all employment actions for the Housekeeping Department: screening, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and terminating staff.
- Follow all workplace injury procedures, including report completion and corrective actions.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of all building areas, coordinating with Maintenance.
- Oversee work in progress and completed work, maintaining cleanliness checklists.
- Initiate and conduct staff training and monthly in-service sessions.
- Stay informed about new cleaning methods, products, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory, order supplies within budget.
- Inspect vacated apartments and ensure timely cleaning for turnover.
- Maintain departmental files and records.
- Provide reports as required by the Executive Director.
- Perform cleaning duties during staff shortages or emergencies.
- Regularly inspect resident areas for sanitation and safety.
- Shampoo rugs in resident and common areas.
- Ensure safety and security of resident belongings and housekeeping equipment.
- Attend quarterly Q&A meetings, suggest improvements for operations, safety, and costs.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
