Job Title: Director of Housekeeping at The Bristal Assisted Living

Join us to apply for the Director of Housekeeping position at The Bristal Assisted Living.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish standards and procedures for staff, plan work schedules to ensure adequate service and coverage.
  • Review staffing to ensure proper coverage while maintaining budget constraints.
  • Manage all employment actions for the Housekeeping Department: screening, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and terminating staff.
  • Follow all workplace injury procedures, including report completion and corrective actions.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of all building areas, coordinating with Maintenance.
  • Oversee work in progress and completed work, maintaining cleanliness checklists.
  • Initiate and conduct staff training and monthly in-service sessions.
  • Stay informed about new cleaning methods, products, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies within budget.
  • Inspect vacated apartments and ensure timely cleaning for turnover.
  • Maintain departmental files and records.
  • Provide reports as required by the Executive Director.
  • Perform cleaning duties during staff shortages or emergencies.
  • Regularly inspect resident areas for sanitation and safety.
  • Shampoo rugs in resident and common areas.
  • Ensure safety and security of resident belongings and housekeeping equipment.
  • Attend quarterly Q&A meetings, suggest improvements for operations, safety, and costs.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
