  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality control measures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and proper usage to control costs.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to address guest requests, resolve issues, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and addressing any deficiencies.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping operations, staffing, and budget management for senior management review.

About the Role:

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. The Director of Housekeeping will develop and implement effective cleaning procedures, monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with other departments to support overall guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Director of Housekeeping plays a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by maintaining impeccable standards and fostering a motivated, well-trained housekeeping team.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in housekeeping or hospitality management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.

  • Proficiency with housekeeping management software and inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations.
