Courtyard San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and develop associates to uphold the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and guest service. The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to motivate a diverse TEAM, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Spanish language skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Supérieurise and support Housekeeping associates to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional guest room cleanliness.
• Inspect guest rooms, floors, services, and public areas to ensure standards are met.
• Coach Room Attendants on cleanliness discrepancies with documentation and progressive discipline when needed.
• Communicate with Front Desk regarding late checkouts and room status discrepancies.
• Monitor daily housekeeping key inventory and conduct monthly linen inventories.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures are followed.
• Maintain Lost and Found program per company standards.
• Supervise Housemen on corridor cleanliness, floor care, and organized closets.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and development of associates.
• Adjust staffing and assign duties based on operational needs.
• Respond to guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Housekeeping associates to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional guest room cleanliness.
• Inspect guest rooms, guest floors, housekeeping services, and public areas to ensure established cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.
• Follow up with Room Attendants on cleanliness discrepancies, including coaching, documentation, and progressive disciplinary action when necessary.
• Communicate regularly with the Front Desk regarding late checkouts, Do Not Disturb rooms, room status discrepancies, and other guest room concerns.
• Monitor and maintain daily housekeeping key inventory and conduct monthly linen inventories.
• Ensure associates follow proper safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures at all times.
• Maintain the hotel's Lost and Found program in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Supervise and follow up with Housemen regarding corridor and guest hallway cleanliness, detail cleaning, floor care, carpet shampooing, and maintaining clean, stocked, and organized housekeeping closets.
• Assist with training, onboarding, coaching, and development of Housekeeping associates.
• Help maintain appropriate staffing levels and assign daily duties based on operational needs.
• Respond professionally and promptly to guest concerns related to housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to communicate and resolve operational or guest-related issues.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, brand standards, and applicable safety requirements.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Housekeeping Management Team.

Requirements

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a hotel environment, preferably in Housekeeping.
• Previous hotel brand experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards, procedures, and cleanliness expectations.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a diverse TEAM.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with associates, guests, and other hotel departments.
• Ability to inspect rooms and public areas thoroughly and provide constructive feedback to associates.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative TEAM player.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel operational needs.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
• Spanish language skills are highly desired.
• Positive, professional attitude with the ability to make associates and guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform the physical requirements associated with supervising hotel housekeeping operations.

Compensation

$22.50 per hour

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form (Form I-9) upon hire.
