Guests can also enjoy a dynamic 20,000 square foot urban food hall and market connected to the lobby of the hotel. Transforming Liberty Street into a pedestrian thoroughfare, the market serves as a community gateway for hotel guests and locals alike, inviting the neighborhood in with the smells of freshly brewed Heine Brothers’ coffee, baked bread, and smoked barbeque.

Job Description

To manage, direct, and coordinate all functions of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. Maintain impeccable levels of cleanliness and upkeep, ensure cost controls are in place, and support a positive work environment for all associates.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain standards of cleanliness and a consistent guest experience as documented by Medallia, AAA, Inn-keeping ratings, and ability to execute all Omni Hotels facility standards and guidelines.
  2. Ensure a smooth, efficient, and economic operation in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. Specify and purchase supplies, and record all data pertaining to the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
  3. Effectively monitor the preventative Maintenance program throughout the hotel.
  4. Maintain a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness.
  5. Constantly monitor and control all labor costs for Housekeeping and Laundry departments, achieving targeted payroll.
  6. Maintain Housekeeping turnover to an acceptable level.
  7. Maintain close coordination, communication, and interaction with front office, to ensure rooms are available for sale, and with Engineering to ensure guest room and all public areas are at peak operative levels.
  8. Directly control the issuance and retrieval of associate uniforms.
  9. Administer the Lost and Found department ensuring all Omni Hotel standards are met or exceeded.
  10. Directly control the key control program for all Housekeeping associates.
  11. Monitor all guest requests to ensure they are met within the prescribed time limits.
  12. Inspect and tour all public areas several times daily.

Qualifications

  1. Inspect all VIP rooms daily.
  2. Monitor guest complaints accordingly and take corrective action when necessary.
  3. Maintain and administer quarterly linen inventories, responsible for action plans to address shrinkage.
  4. Assist with budget process as required by the Hotel Manager.
  5. Develop master cleaning schedules and administer accordingly.
  6. Monitor all Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate supplies are always available, complete analysis of amenity consumption.
  7. Maintain accurate payroll information for the Housekeeping and Laundry department and control of same in accordance with plan.
  8. Ensure that all Systems and Controls, Loss Prevention, and Energy Conservation guidelines are on line.
  9. STAR Certification Required
