Job summary

Iowa Home Care is seeking a Director for Angels in the Home in West Des Moines to lead growth, build community partnerships, and ensure exceptional private-pay home care services across Iowa.

The ideal candidate brings social work or healthcare leadership experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to recruit and develop a caregiving team, while keeping clients safe and independent at home.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Angels in the Home with a focus on quality client care and satisfaction
• Build referral relationships and partnerships with community organizations
• Recruit, coach, and develop a capable caregiving team
• Oversee client experiences from intake through ongoing care coordination
• Identify new services and opportunities to grow private-pay home care in Iowa
• Ensure compliance, safety, and high ethical standards across operations

As the Director of Angels in the Home, you will have the opportunity to:

• Help individuals and families find solutions that allow them to remain safely and independently at home
• Build meaningful relationships with clients, families, caregivers, social workers, healthcare professionals, senior-living communities, and other community partners
• Grow private-pay home care and concierge services throughout Iowa
• Meet with prospective clients and families and help develop services around their individual needs and goals
• Build referral relationships and community partnerships
• Recruit, develop, and lead an exceptional caregiving team
• Oversee the client experience from the first phone call through ongoing service and care coordination
• Identify new services and opportunities that meet the changing needs of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their families
• Take ownership of the day-to-day success and long‑term growth of Angels in the Home
