Job summary

Lincoln Center seeks an Associate Director, Government Funding to own the city, state, and federal government fundraising portfolio from strategy through award closeout. You will manage agency relationships, ensure compliance, and drive complex applications to submission.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with finance and project teams, and maintain registration and reporting across multiple portals. A results-oriented, detail-focused leader with capital funding experience is ideal for this role.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in government grants management
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
• Experience in matrixed, cross-functional teams
• Hands-on capital funding with drawdown
• Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and MWBE
• Staff mentoring experience
• CRM and project management fluency
• Exceptional writing skills

Responsibilities

• Own government fundraising strategy across operating and capital lines.
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle for capital and operating applications to submission.
• Manage agency relationships and procurement/compliance steps.
• Oversee post-award execution: contracts, records, and kickoffs.
• Ensure portfolio compliance, reporting, and audits readiness.
• Supervise the Government Funding Coordinator and provide training.
• Coordinate prequalification and registration with SAM.gov and portals.
• Iterate internal operating rhythms across departments for awards.
• Monitor funding landscapes and set pursuit strategy.
