Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Director of Site Operations to own uptime for a 5+ site AI supercompute cluster and lead a 250+ person operations team. Youll drive fault mitigation, vendor execution, and cross-functional collaboration with facilities, network, and tenants.

The role requires hands-on leadership, deep data center expertise, and a track record of delivering high SLA performance in a 24/7 environment. Expect on-site work at multiple data centers and frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in large-scale operations or 10+ years with leadership of technical teams.
• Proven ability to lead multi-site, 24/7 operations in high-responsibility settings.
• Deep expertise in server hardware, cluster reliability, and data center technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own Cluster Uptime across 5+ sites and ensure 24/7 SLA performance.
• Direct a 250+ person ops organization including site managers, shift supervisors, and technicians.
• Drive MTTR improvements and systematic remediation of failed nodes and racks.
• Coordinate with facilities, network, and tenants for uptime and planned downtime.
• Lead SRE function for proactive health monitoring and fault documentation.
