Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Director of Generation Projects to lead the development and execution of major power generation and energy infrastructure projects in the United States.

This role oversees projects from planning through commissioning and commercial operation, manages budgets, schedules, and risk, and coordinates engineering, construction, procurement, permitting, and commissioning while leading cross-functional teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing large capital construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading utility, power generation, energy, industrial, or EPC projects.
• Knowledge of project budgeting, cost estimating, scheduling, and contract management.
• Strong understanding of construction practices and project lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with power generation facilities, energy infrastructure, or utility operations.
• Experience with fossil fuel generation projects.
• Exposure to renewable energy, battery energy storage (BESS), solar, or wind projects.
• Experience with EPC contract administration and execution.

This individual will oversee projects from initial planning and permitting through engineering, construction, commissioning, and commercial operation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in utility-scale generation projects, capital project management, and leading cross-functional teams in a complex regulatory environment. The annual salary for this role is 136k-190k with the opportunity for annual bonuses.

Day to Day
