Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking a hands-on AI engineering leader to serve as Director within the Single‑Family Acquisitions division. You will own the design and deployment of AI systems, drive evaluation harnesses, and manage post‑go‑live operations.

The role blends 70% architecture with 30% leadership across partners and platforms. You will advance agentic workflows, establish a shared domain graph, and build scalable, auditable processes for production readiness and risk governance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years building and operating production ML/AI systems in regulated environments.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on architecting multi‑agent orchestration platforms and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead GenAI engineering efforts, execution, and delivery partners while remaining the senior hands-on engineer.
• Stand up a forward-deployed engagement model embedding AI engineers with SFA teams.
• Institutionalize spec-driven development with written specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain a reusable pattern library with AI tooling and reference implementations.
• Collaborate on capability roadmaps with GenAI PMO, EO&T, and Digital Experience.
• Mentor engineers on agent design, evaluation, and production operations.
