Job summary

United Way of New York City seeks a Director of Operations, Gift Accounting, and Analytics to lead fundraising operations, donor systems, and analytics. You will drive strategic process improvements, governance, and cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, IT, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.

The role requires strong experience in donor data governance, portfolio management, and revenue recognition, with a focus on optimizing fundraising performance and donor experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in fundraising operations, development services, donor systems, or philanthropy operations within a nonprofit organization.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT administration, optimization, and governance; certification preferred.
• Experience with gift administration, donor data governance, prospect research, portfolio management, fundraising reporting, analytics, revenue recognition, and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee prospect research and donor intelligence efforts supporting multiple fundraising streams.
• Manage portfolio reporting, moves management, proposal tracking, and fundraising forecasting.
• Translate fundraising data into actionable insights for planning, segmentation, and resource allocation.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to align donor communications, reporting, and dashboards.
• Oversee donor systems, governance, and technology optimizations to strengthen operational efficiency.
