Job summary

United Way of New York City is seeking a Director of Operations, Gift Accounting, and Analytics to lead the systems, processes, and operations that support fundraising efforts in a hybrid New York, NY work environment.

The role drives strategic operational leadership across donor systems, gift processing, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, Marketing, and executive leadership to ensure data integrity and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, information systems, data analytics, or related field preferred.
• Seven+ years in fundraising operations, development services, donor systems, or philanthropy operations in nonprofit organizations.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT administration, governance, and certification preferred.
• Experience with donor data governance, portfolio management, fundraising reporting, analytics, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the operational strategy to support Resource Development priorities and annual fundraising goals.
• Create annual operational plans, KPIs, and dashboards to measure fundraising effectiveness.
• Build scalable systems, workflows, and processes to support organizational growth and reduce key-person dependencies.
• Oversee donor systems, gift processing, acknowledgments, tax receipts, pledge administration, and donor recognition.
• Partner with Finance to establish revenue reconciliation procedures, financial controls, and audit readiness.
• Develop and maintain policies and standard operating procedures for gift administration and fundraising operations.
