Job summary

Nift is seeking its first Director of Strategic Finance to own planning and forecasting end to end, and to overhaul how finance delivers numbers. The role includes building a driver-based operating model, cash flow forecasting, and a monthly reporting package for the Board.

You will work with an engineering partner to automate finance workflows, move away from spreadsheet-driven processes, and define the GL structure for clearer cost visibility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in FP&A or strategic finance, with ownership of planning and forecasting in a operating company.
• Strong, hands-on SQL skills and ability to write queries against production data.
• Full ownership of a P&L, including revenue, cost, and cash flow planning.
• Experience turning analysis into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning and forecasting, including 3–5 year long-range plans.
• Lead automation of finance workflows and system-to-system data moves.
• Develop monthly reporting packages and Board materials with the Head of Finance.
• Write SQL against production data and define finance schema to enable reporting.
