Job summary

Nift is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to own planning and forecasting end-to-end and to rebuild how finance produces numbers. You’ll partner with engineering, implement automation, and craft a driver-based operating model spanning revenue, gross profit, OpEx, headcount, EBITDA, working capital, and cash.

In your first year you’ll run the annual plan, establish rolling forecasts, deliver monthly close reviews with accounting, and create Board-ready reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in FP&A or strategic finance with ownership of planning and forecasting.
• Strong, hands-on SQL and data manipulation.
• Full ownership of a P&L's planning and the operating model.
• Mastery of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow relationships.
• Proven ability to turn analysis into a clear recommendation for a CEO or Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and forecasting for the organization.
• Run the annual operating plan with driver-based templates and input consolidation.
• Own the operating model: revenue, gross profit, OpEx, headcount, EBITDA, working capital, and cash.
• Reforecast regularly and deliver monthly budget-to-actual reviews with department heads.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, collections, and timing; ensure clean monthly closes and Board-ready reporting.
• Lead finance automation and system-to-system workflows; partner with engineers on requirements and UAT.
• Define general ledger structure for cost visibility and work with accounting on cleanups.
