Job summary

Carlton Senior Living is seeking a receptionist to be the welcoming face of our community in Sacramento. You will greet residents and families, answer calls, manage records, and support events and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old per Title 22.
• Administrative experience preferred but not required – we will train the right candidate.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with residents, families and team members.
• Proficient in MS Office, email, and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, residents and families with warmth and professionalism.
• Answer and direct phone calls, monitor emergency systems, respond promptly to needs.
• Maintain resident records, handle mail, and coordinate with maintenance or other departments.
• Assist Sales and Activities teams with event coordination and marketing materials.
• Keep front desk clean and organized, present a professional appearance.
• Support safety protocols and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families and team members.

What we are hiring for:

Schedule: Open Availability (7am - 9pm Sun-Sat)

Pay Range:

$17.00 - $18.00

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as the “Director of First Impressions” by greeting visitors, residents, and families with warmth and professionalism while providing accurate information and direction.
• Answer and direct phone calls, monitor emergency systems, and respond promptly to resident and guest needs with a high level of customer service.
• Support administrative tasks such as maintaining resident records, handling mail, and coordinating with maintenance or other departments as needed.
• Assist the Sales and Activities teams by helping with event coordination, guest arrangements, and preparation of marketing materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, present a professional appearance, and stay informed about community events to keep residents and guests engaged.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
• Prior administrative experience preferred but not required – we will train the right candidate!
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office, email, and scheduling systems.
