Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Financial Planning leader in Vienna, VA to execute budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for an enterprise domain.

The role partners with senior leaders to deliver insights, develop scenarios, and support informed decision-making while driving governance and cross-functional alignment across finance and business teams. Location is Vienna, VA with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 12-15 years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related financial disciplines
• Experience leading managers and professional staff in a complex organization
• Experience supporting executive decision-making with financial analysis, forecasting, and business cases
• Ability to influence and partner with senior leaders on financial matters
• Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, governance and performance management

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance analysis.
• Translate strategic priorities into planning activities, operating rhythms, and measurable financial outcomes.
• Drive cross-functional execution across business, finance, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Oversee development of financial plans, forecasts, scenarios, and executive reporting.
• Evaluate performance, trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders with actionable financial insights.
• Evaluate investment priorities and resource allocation decisions.
• Establish governance and standards for planning and governance within the domain.
• Lead initiatives on planning, reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
• Remove obstacles and drive continuous improvement in planning methodologies.
• Lead and develop managers and team leaders; ensure leadership bench strength.
