Job summary

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) seeks a Director of Financial Aid to lead the office, ensure compliance with federal Title IV and state regulations, and oversee awarding and packaging of aid. The role reports to the CFO and partners with Student Accounts, Finance, Enrollment Services, and the Registrar to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and five years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid administration, bursar operations, or student accounts.
• Strong knowledge of Title IV regulations and federal/state programs.
• Ability to coach and develop staff and manage cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs the administration of federal Title IV, state, institutional, and private student aid programs in accordance with regulations and university policy.
• Oversees awarding and packaging of aid to ensure accuracy and compliance with loan limits.
• Serves as School Certifying Official and liaises with federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Leads a team of financial aid staff, coaching and development, and cross-department collaboration.
• Ensures internal controls, timely reporting, and budget development for the financial aid office.
