Job summary

Simmons University in Boston’s Fenway area seeks a Director of Financial Aid to provide strategic and operational leadership for the University’s financial aid programs and services. The Director ensures compliant, accurate and timely administration of federal, state and institutional aid; and leads a knowledgeable, service-oriented team in support of affordability, enrollment and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in higher education financial aid administration.
• Expert knowledge of Title IV and other applicable federal and state financial aid regulations, compliance requirements, fund management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Office of Financial Aid, including staff supervision and performance management.
• Oversee the administration of federal, state and institutional financial aid programs for undergraduates and graduates.
• Maintain financial aid compliance policies, procedures and reporting; prepare for audits and program reviews.
• Manage annual aid budget, packaging and awarding policies in collaboration with financial aid partners.
• Provide leadership with timely financial aid analysis and advice on regulatory changes and market conditions.
