Role Overview
This person will be responsible for providing senior leadership for Financial Planning & Analysis across CAA. This position will lead multiple roles within CAA’s Finance organization, including FP&A, Business Operations, Audit, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design financial planning & forecasting processes and tools for CAA across the National Organization and subsidiaries.
- Manage planning for the National CAA organization and support state Finance Directors with budgeting and forecasting.
- Create long-term (3-5 years) strategic plans including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows, Investment, and Capital/Financing Needs in coordination with the Chief Strategy Officer.
- Lead annual budgeting for the National CAA and State EPR programs, reviewing with the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Develop and implement a forecast review cadence with senior leadership, including reporting to the Board.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual budgets.
- Develop and review monthly financial reports and perform trend analysis.
- Prepare quarterly reports for the Board and senior leadership.
- Provide KPIs on financial budgets to senior leaders.
- Create standardized financial models for organizational and program budgets.
- Ensure quality in all budgeting and reporting activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in large, complex, matrixed organizations; nonprofit experience highly valued.
- Expertise in Business Operations Finance, financial planning, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proven executional excellence and learning agility.
- Experience with financial systems like Workday Financials or other similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Leadership ability to build and engage teams, including remote staff.
- Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ideally understanding startup culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in finance and business planning.
Compensation & Other Info
- Location: Fully Remote
- Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually, based on experience and skills.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off.
- Reports to: CFO
