Job summary

Conexus in Irvine, CA is seeking a Director of Finance to lead accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations for commercial real estate assets. The role collaborates with executive leadership on acquisitions, portfolio strategy, and property/partnership financial operations. Onsite five days a week in Irvine.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in CRE accounting with hands-on Yardi experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and leadership experience to guide a growing accounting team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in commercial real estate.
• 3+ years of team leadership experience.
• Hands-on Yardi experience with property accounting and CAM reconciliations.
• Experience with partnership accounting, investor reporting, and complex waterfall distributions.
• Strong CAM analysis, tenant expense recoveries, and lease interpretation.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, internal controls, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations across property entities, partnerships, and management companies.
• Prepare property-level, partnership, and consolidated financial statements.
• Oversee investor reporting, capital calls, and distributions.
• Manage CAM budgeting, reconciliations, and recoveries with lease provisions.
• Lead annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and planning with asset management.
• Ensure data integrity in Yardi workflows and reporting.
• Coordinate external audits, tax prep, and lender reporting.
• Strengthen accounting policies and develop the accounting team.
