Job summary

Infinite Machine, a hardware-focused electric vehicle company, is seeking a Director of Finance & Business Operations in New York to own finance, accounting, HR, legal, facilities, and reporting. You will lead financial planning, cash management, and investor relations for a fast-moving, growth-focused organization.

The role requires strong modeling, budgeting, and close experience, with a track record of partnering with operations on inventory and landed costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior experience in finance, operations, or strategy at a venture-backed or hardware manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory-heavy operations and overseas manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong modeling, forecasting, and financial planning capabilities.
• Experience raising equity or debt and managing investor relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own financial planning, annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range cash flow model.
• Manage cash, runway, working capital, supplier terms, landed costs, and tariffs.
• Partner with operations on inventory planning, purchasing, and cost tracking.
• Oversee closing, accounting, audit, tax, and sales tax compliance.
• Support fundraising by building models, preparing investor materials, and maintaining data room.
• Manage cap table, 409A valuations, option grants, and board reporting.
• Run HR operations including payroll, benefits, onboarding, and compliance across states.
• Manage external legal work and outside counsel for contracts, governance, IP, and regulatory matters.
• Oversee facilities, leases, vendors, and safety in partnership with operations.
• Build reporting on sales, inventory, unit economics, and operating metrics with dashboards.
• Collaborate with CEO on special projects, board prep, priorities, and cadence.
• Put scalable systems and processes in place to support growth without overhead.
