Job summary

CherryBekaert Advisory LLC is seeking a Director of Finance for their Central Pennsylvania manufacturing operation. This hands-on leadership role oversees core accounting, month-end close, budgeting, FP&A and payroll, partnering with senior leadership to drive performance.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in manufacturing finance with GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience with controllership or FP&A leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A; strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; exposure to asset-based lending (ABL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of general accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close.

• Provide FP&A support, including variance analysis and financial modeling.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Manufacturing Controller / Finance Manager to join a growing organization in Central Pennsylvania. This role will play a critical leadership position, overseeing core accounting functions while supporting strategic financial planning and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of general accounting operations, including month‑end and year‑end close
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, partnering with leadership to drive financial performance
• Provide financial planning & analysis (FP&A) support, including variance analysis and financial modeling
• Manage and ensure accuracy of payroll processing and related reporting
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Support interactions with lenders, including those related to asset‑based lending (ABL) structures
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, particularly within a manufacturing environment
