Position Overview

The Pennsylvania Controller will report to the Senior Vice President of Accounting and oversee the accounting team in Philadelphia. The role requires a strong technical accounting background for both public and corporate accounting, strong leadership, and a proven track record of progressive advancement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and trend analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, industry‑specific financial regulations, and external party reporting requirements including ASC 842 and 606.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes for the Pennsylvania location.
• Work closely with operations, supply chain, and production teams to track plant activities on a daily basis and reflect all related financial and accounting implications in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision‑making in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing strategic direction for the accounting function and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and processes.
• Support ERP system improvements and financial system enhancements.
• Continue to improve processes, standard operating procedures and areas of risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred).
• At least 10 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar; implementation experience a plus).
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting in manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Robust attention to detail and organizational skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive financial discipline.
