Job summary

GGM Services, a Charlotte-based security and access infrastructure contractor, seeks a Director of Field Services. The role begins in the field, installing and maintaining gate automation, access control, and surveillance hardware at commercial and industrial sites, then grows into full operational leadership with scheduling, dispatch, and project oversight.

You will lead field teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Strong Field Service experience across multiple sites.
• Commitment to Customer Satisfaction and ability to handle escalations and build long-term client relationships.
• Proficiency in Operations Management including scheduling, resource planning, and process improvement for field teams.
• Experience in Training field staff, developing SOPs, and promoting safety and quality best practices.
• Leadership experience managing teams in a technical or service-oriented environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC and travel to customer locations as needed.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Background in security systems, access control, gates/doors, or related technologies is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of gate automation systems, access control hardware, automatic overhead doors, sliding glass doors, and surveillance equipment across client sites.
• Move from field work to full operational leadership, including managing the field team, scheduling and dispatch, coordinating project delivery, and driving quality and accountability across service lines.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, oversee resource allocation and cost controls, and implement processes/workflows that support growth without compromising service standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships with escalations and key accounts across self-storage, commercial, and industrial sectors.
