Job summary

New Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time, exempt leader to oversee the Family Development Center in Waterbury, CT.

You will supervise case management, outreach, intake, assessments, referrals and the maintenance of client records, ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Responsibilities include building partnerships with local, state and federal agencies, guiding staff, monitoring outcomes, and coordinating services that help customers move toward self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• B.A degree or an A.S in Human Services, with 3 years additional years of experience administering and supervising case management services and developing community partnerships.
• 4 years' experience administering case management services and supervision.
• Other combinations of education and experience which demonstrate a candidate’s ability to perform the above services may meet the requirements of this position.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership, oversight, and coordination for all programs operating under the umbrella of the Family Development Center.
• Directs outreach activities to identify eligible program participants and coordinates eligibility intake services.
• Directs the needs assessment process and ensures service plans are developed with customer input.
• Oversees referrals to community partners and works to remove barriers to participation.
• Monitors program outcomes, maintains confidential files, and ensures timely reporting.
• Collaborates with community partners and public agencies to create a network of supportive services.
• Maintains knowledge of community resources and Homeless System programs; provides staff leadership and advisory committee support.
• Ensures building and grounds are safe and conducive to work, and performs other duties as assigned.
