Job summary

Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University is seeking a Director of Faculty Development to oversee activities that improve teaching, assessment, and evaluation skills. The director will guide education scholarship and design training programs for faculty and learners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in medical education, higher education, psychology, or a related field.
• Four years of relevant experience in a higher education environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple diverse stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, and students.
• Demonstrated scholarly activity, such as publication/presentation of educational materials or training activities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills sufficient to handle multiple tasks, manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee faculty development activities focusing on teaching, assessment and evaluation skills.
• Assist faculty in the development of educational scholarship.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate professional development activities for faculty and learners (students and residents).
• Collaborate with leadership to align development programs with CMU standards and foster excellence.
