Job summary

Warner University is seeking a Director of Facilities Services in Lake Wales, FL to lead the Facilities Services department, overseeing maintenance, housekeeping and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and functional campus.

The role requires at least five years in facilities management, a 4-year degree, and strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory knowledge; you will work with architects and campus leadership on projects and long-range planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of facilities management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering, construction, maintenance, facility and general management.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations including building codes and OSHA.
• High level of interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience in an educational environment (preferred).

Position Summary

This position oversees the functions of the Facilities Services department including maintenance, housekeeping and grounds. The Director of Facilities Services will supervise all department staff; ensure proper maintenance of all buildings and grounds; and provide an aesthetically pleasing, clean and functional learning environment in support of the strategic mission and goals of the university.

Working Relationships

The Director of Facilities Services is a member of the Facilities Services Department and reports to the Assistant Vice President for Technology and Facilities.

Work Schedule

Normal office hours expected Monday through Friday. Additional hours as needed for significant department or university events.
