Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to lead Engineering Operations and drive maintenance and safety initiatives across the hospital campus.

The role oversees a team including the Senior Lead Engineer, Safety Officer, Construction Manager, Plant Operations Manager, and Clinical Engineering Supervisor. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; five years related experience with at least two in supervision.
• Knowledge of physical plant operations, safety practices, record keeping and reporting.
• Technical knowledge of air-conditioning and heating systems.
• Knowledge of state and local safety, fire, and construction; blueprints and building codes; experience developing cost estimates and budgets.
• Budgeting and financial administration skills.
• General management and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy in Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations of the Engineering Department and future planning of the healthcare facility; establish procedures for maintenance, repair and/or replacement of the facility, grounds and systems equipment.
• Provide management and overview of the facility’s fire, equipment management, environment of care, and life safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the Senior Lead Engineer, Safety Officer, Construction Manager, Plant Operations Manager, Maintenance Engineers, and Clinical Engineering Supervisor.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Knowledge of all phases of physical plant operation, maintenance and repair, planning, scheduling, management and administration of the plant; federal, state, and local regulation safety practices; record keeping and report writing experience

• Technical knowledge and skills in working with air-conditioning and heating systems

• Knowledge and experience with state and local safety, fire, and construction; an understanding of blueprints and building codes; experience developing cost estimates and budgets

• Skill in areas of budgeting and financial administration

• General management and organizational skills necessary to administer large and diverse department

• Computer literate in Windows environment
