Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Director of Executive Compensation to lead design, governance, and delivery of compensation for Unity’s top leadership. You will partner with the C‑Suite, Finance, and Legal to ensure competitive and defensible programs aligned with shareholders.

You will manage complex equity design, proxy disclosures, Say‑on‑Pay readiness, and Compensation Committee governance while translating technical concepts into clear guidance for business leaders and the Board.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to translate technical compensation concepts into plain English for executives and the Board.

Responsibilities

• Govern board and committee materials & strategic narratives for executive compensation.
• Draft the CD&A for the proxy and ensure SEC compliance.
• Design and govern executive short- and long-term incentive plans (PSU/RSU).
• Lead benchmarking, peer group selection, and competitive pay analysis for the C‑Suite.
• Partner with Executive Recruiting on offers for VP+ hires and manage promotions and transitions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the compensation team.
