Job summary

Hyve Group is seeking a Director of Event Operations in New York to lead end-to-end onsite event delivery and optimize processes. You will guide a small team, coordinate with operations and commercial stakeholders, and ensure best-in-class execution across BETT USA on-site events.

You will travel to BETT UK and other events, manage budgets, and implement strategic improvements while maintaining high standards and strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of event management experience in large conferences or trade shows.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Super organized, works under pressure and makes thoughtful decisions.
• Comfortable with technology platforms and Excel skills.
• Experience developing and leading small teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute large-scale events from pre-event to on-site delivery.
• Lead onsite Meetups program and manage event budgets/forecasts.
• Negotiate contracts, manage vendors, and handle invoices/insurance.
• Staff planning for events, including temp/contract staffing.
• Collaborate with commercial, marketing and content teams.
