Job summary

Retirement Unlimited seeks an Environmental Services Director to manage the building's upkeep, safety, and staff. This role directs housekeeping, maintenance, and vendors to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. Strong leadership and regulatory compliance are essential for day-to-day operations.

The director will oversee budgets, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs across facilities, ensuring efficient operation and resident comfort at all times.

Responsibilities

• Directs, trains, and supervises housekeeping and maintenance staff
• Oversees contractors and ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and final inspections
• Maintains and repairs building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment
• Manages budgets for maintenance, housekeeping and laundry
• Develops cleaning schedules and monitors timely completion
• Manages community vehicles and maintenance records
• Adheres to preventive maintenance program for all equipment
• Oversees grounds maintenance and waste disposal contracts
• Investigates mechanical breakdowns to prevent recurrence
