Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Director, Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to lead security for major enterprise units. You will shape architecture decisions, risk prioritization, and governance, guiding a small team of Security Partners in a high-impact, executive-facing role.

You will work across cloud, identity, and AI/ML risk domains, collaborating with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to drive risk-informed decisions in a large, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity engineering, IT risk, or closely related field.
• Experience as a BISO, Security Partner, or similar senior security leader.
• Managed and developed security professionals and built high-performing teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of cloud, identity, application security, and AI/ML risks.
• Knowledge of COSO, NIST CSF, and NIST SP 800-53; familiarity with FedRAMP and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Own security relationship for assigned BU; represent security voice inside executive leadership.
• Own the risk register; set severity, prioritization, and buy-down sequencing.
• Build risk buy-down plans with named owners and dates; escalate progress.
• Lead security input on design reviews, threat modeling, and SDLC security patterns.
• Deliver quarterly reviews, risk narratives, and posture metrics for CISO/CIO/Board audiences.
• Coordinate with CSOC, security engineers, PMs, and others to drive security outcomes.
• Track emerging AI/ML risks and translate into risk decisions and controls.
• Incorporate regulatory requirements (FedRAMP, SOX, data-protection laws) into risk view.
• Drive adoption of security tooling, telemetry, and data-driven decisions.
• Manage, coach, and grow Security Partner Leads and Senior Leads.
