Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Director, Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to lead security for a major BU. This senior role shapes architecture, controls, and risk decisions, partnering with engineers, product leaders, and executives. You will mentor Security Partner Leads and drive secure-by-design practices across the lifecycle.

You’ll manage risk, run threat modeling, and deliver posture metrics to CISO/CIO and the Board. Hybrid work in multiple U.S. cities is available.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in cybersecurity at a large enterprise.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, identity, app security, and AI/ML risks.
• Ability to translate risk into actionable roadmap and executive communications.

Responsibilities

• Own security relationship for assigned BU and represent security voice with senior leaders.
• Lead risk register, severity, prioritization, and buy-down sequencing with owners.
• Develop risk buy-down plans with defined owners and dates, escalating as needed.
• Influence SDLC design reviews, threat models, and architecture decisions; enforce secure-by-design patterns.
• Deliver quarterly risk narratives and posture metrics for CISO, CIO, and Board audiences.
• Coordinate with CSOC, engineers, TPMs, and specialists to drive enterprise outcomes.
• Monitor AI/ML risks (agentic architectures, prompt injection, data governance) and translate into controls.
• Incorporate FedRAMP, SOX, and data-protection regulations into risk views and prioritization.
• Drive adoption of security tooling and telemetry to base decisions on data.
• Mentor Security Partner Leads and Senior Leads; set cadence and deliverables; build successors.
• Leverage approved AI assistants for executive-quality analysis and drafts; scale with teams.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Security leadership on cross-portfolio programs.
