Job summary

Core Scientific, a leading data-center and AI compute infrastructure provider, is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the development and oversight of the enterprise risk program. You will shape risk philosophy, collaborate with the C-suite, and embed risk considerations into strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include evaluating risks, enhancing internal controls, managing insurance programs, reporting to the board, and staying ahead of regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, risk management, or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive risk management experience, with leadership.
• Experience with regulated industries is a plus.
• Certifications such as FRM, CRM, CFA, or CPA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise risk management framework.
• Identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks across functions.
• Lead risk assessments and scenario analyses for strategic planning.
• Embed risk awareness into business processes and controls.
• Provide risk reporting to the executive team and board.
• Manage insurance programs including property, casualty, D&O, workers’ comp.
