Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Director of Enterprise, Workplace and Low Voltage Field Engineering to lead a North America organization responsible for field delivery across enterprise networking, workplace technology, and low voltage infrastructure. The Director will manage Practice Leads and field leaders, ensuring workforce readiness, delivery quality, and financial discipline.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Field Engineering, enterprise infrastructure delivery, or related.
• 5+ years leading managers or large distributed teams.
• Experience across multiple geographies or customer programs.
• Strong workforce planning and performance management experience.
• Experience developing and managing partner-based delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Practice Leads and Field Engineering leaders across Enterprise, Workplace and Low Voltage.
• Set expectations for leadership, workforce readiness, utilization, delivery health, quality, performance and accountability.
• Forecast demand, capacity, skills, geography, workforce risk, and future hiring or partner requirements.
• Build workforce strategies using employees, contractors, and delivery partners.
• Maintain a strong Field Engineering partner ecosystem for delivery quality and coverage.
• Monitor major customer engagements, delivery risks, resource issues, quality trends and escalations.
• Promote adoption of Field Engineering methods, tools, documentation, and closeout requirements.
• Monitor utilization, workforce cost, partner spend, and productivity to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions, Costing and Estimating, Resource Management, PMO, Finance, Partner Management, and other delivery leaders.
• Support major opportunities by validating delivery dates, workforce models, leadership, partner assumptions, and costs.
• Build leadership depth and succession plans to scale the organization.
• Identify recurring delivery issues and drive corrective actions across the organization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, workplace tech, low voltage infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with site surveys, deployments, and dispatch-based services.
• Leadership of a blended workforce across US/Canada with travel to project sites.
