BlackLine Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to own the technical strategy for Studio 360. You will lead a team of Frontend and Backend engineers, drive KPIs for quality, flow, and velocity, and shape the future of financial automation.

You’ll collaborate with product management, design, and business leaders to define the long-term vision, while developing the next generation of engineering talent and ensuring robust, scalable delivery in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing software engineering teams.
• 3+ years in Engineering Management or DevOps, with hands-on leadership.
• 5+ years in Agile Methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Recent director-level experience overseeing software in large-scale Web Apps/SaaS.
• Hands-on with C# (preferred), C++, Java, Python, Go or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and define the technical strategy for Studio 360, ensuring quality, predictability, and delivery velocity.
• Partner with product, design, and business leaders to align on long-term vision and roadmap.
• Develop and mentor engineering talent to build a high-performing organization.
• Drive code health, architecture, testing practices, and cloud-based initiatives.
• Oversee platform capabilities, APIs, tools, and processes to streamline development and delivery.
