Job summary

STQ Partners in Houston seeks a Vice President / Director of Engineering to lead the multidisciplinary engineering organization supporting modular building, blast-resistant and technical buildings. Full accountability for engineering strategy, quality, and resources across Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Site Services.

The role collaborates with senior leadership to drive standardization, risk management and continuous improvement, while recruiting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience with leadership.
Experience in engineer-to-order, modular construction, or EPC environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization.
Establish engineering strategy, standards, processes, priorities, and performance expectations.
Oversee engineering execution from proposal development through design, fabrication, testing, installation, and project closeout.
Ensure engineering deliverables are accurate, coordinated, constructible, compliant, and issued on schedule.
Develop engineering talent through recruiting, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
