Job summary

Raisin, the world’s leading platform for savings and investment products, is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the Investment and Pension (IPP) engineering teams (25+ engineers) and drive both strategic and operational initiatives across multiple cross-functional squads.

You will own delivery quality, domain ownership, and tech strategy, mentor leaders, and partner with the product lead to align roadmaps with business goals.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
• Leadership experience of 10+ years as a senior engineering leader across projects and teams.
• At least 4 years of FinTech experience.
• Domain knowledge of Investment products is a strong advantage.
• Strong business mindset and strategic as well as operational leadership abilities.
• Fluent in English; German or another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivery quality and speed: accountable for team commitments in time, scope, and budget; remove impediments; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Domain ownership: drive long-term value in their domain; build resilient expertise and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Tech Strategy: shape technical strategy; participate in strategic decisions; evaluate keeping vs replacing existing solutions.
• Team and Culture: leadership of engineering leads; hire and develop talent; nurture a high-performance culture.
• Process and Compliance: enforce Raisin standards, automate tooling, improve documentation, reduce technical debt.
