Job summary

Key West Historic Inns seeks an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the Engineering operations across our boutique hotel collection. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for preventive maintenance, building systems, life safety, capital projects, vendor management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead and develop the Engineering team while partnering with hotel leadership to ensure properties remain safe, efficient, well‑maintained, and consistently ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Hospitality or related field.
• 5+ years in engineering or facilities leadership, preferably in hotels or similar properties.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and long‑term asset preservation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance, building systems, life safety, capital projects, vendor management, budgeting and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop the Engineering team and partner with hotel leadership to ensure safety, efficiency and guest experience.
• Balance long‑term planning with hands‑on daily operations and manage multiple properties and priorities.
